EAHBA sponsors and organizes at least one major Halter Championship annually. This show is open to all Straight Egyptian horses registered in the studbooks of the EAO and any WAHO registry worldwide.  EAHBA adopts the same definition of Straight Egyptians used by the Pyramid Society with the exception of horses tracing back to Sharkasi who are accepted as Egyptian horses. Horses tracing back to the mare "BADR"( Registan X Bint Samia) EAO Reg. No. 52 and the mare "Kasbana" ( Registan X Rasala) bred in T.G.B Trouncer's stud are allowed to participate in all events held by the Association, however, it is recognised that those horses are not Straight Egyptians. 
In addition to the Halter Championships EAHBA for the last ten years has sponsored and played a pivotal role in developing the flat race industry .
