| The
Egyptian Arabian Horse Breeders Association (EAHBA) was founded in 1985
by the private breeders of Egypt as a non profit organization dedicated
specifically to the perpetuation and preservation of the Straight Egyptian
Arabian Horse and to the art of Arabian horse breeding in general.
Today EAHBA has grown to a membership of 60 active members.
EAHBA
sponsors and organizes at least one major Halter Championship annually.
This show is open to all Straight Egyptian horses registered in the studbooks
of the EAO and any WAHO registry worldwide. EAHBA adopts the same
definition of Straight Egyptians used by the Pyramid Society with the exception
of horses tracing back to Sharkasi who are accepted as Egyptian horses.
Horses tracing back to the mare "BADR"( Registan X Bint Samia) EAO Reg.
No. 52 and the mare "Kasbana" ( Registan X Rasala) bred in T.G.B Trouncer's
stud are allowed to participate in all events held by the Association,
however, it is recognised that those horses are not Straight Egyptians.
